Skate-Punk
Nik has been a dedicated songwriter for almost ten years
now, playing shows here and there with his brothers in the
skate-punk band, Swetshop Ninjas.
Hip Hop
Only within the last three years, however, has he begun to
explore hip hop. "This genre of music has really given me a
chance to say what's on my mind. That's one of the most
important things to me."
Style
Often satirical, Nik tackles a wide range of issues in his
rhymes including religion, sincerity, upper class America,
and even the Karate Kid; guitars both acoustic and electric,
various instruments sampled into loops, and the classic
sound of drum pad beats blend the catchy audio of Nik Fury.
Perspective
Listeners of all ages seem to enjoy the music and also
honesty within Nik's lyrics. Aside from Nik's sincere desire
to approach his music from a real-life perspective, he never
fails to let his playful and humorous attitude entertain the
audience.
Albums
The follow up release to 2005's Feet and Fists (EP), Nik's
project, "The Downfall of Authenticity and Other Unforeseen
Events" (2006), hits the music scene with undeniable
confidence. Each track written and produced by Fury himself,
the album takes the listener on a lyrical journey through
the very person of Nik Fury - both in humor and in
seriousness.
New Project
Nik Fury released the album "Lights, Camera, Accident" in
2007. The artist is working on a new album in 2009. |
